Memorandum of Mutual Agreement

On Improvement of Socially Oriented Organizations’ Operating Environment in Georgia

1. Given Memorandum is an expression of free will of Signatory Organizations who have agreed to cooperate in order to achieve improvement of socially oriented organizations’ overall operating environment in Georgia.
2. Signatory Organizations, acknowledging importance of deinstitutionalization as a means of providing population with quality social services and necessity of elaborating unified policy in this field and involvement of civil society organizations in the processes, Have agreed as follows:

a) To undertake joint purposeful activities to support elaboration of unified deinstitutionalization policy;
b) To act conjointly in order to secure high quality of cooperation with public authorities and highest possible involvement of civil society organizations in the processes;
c)To ensure elaboration and lobbying of efficient legal acts;
d) To support development of proper public opinion on and attitude towards civil society organizations operating in social field;
e) To support further institutional development of active civil society organizations and support establishment of new organizations;
f) To exchange information and share experience.

3. Signatory Organizations have agreed to leave given Memorandum open and allow any organization or private person join the Memorandum who expresses readiness to contribute their share in the pursuit of goals enshrined in the Memorandum
